Drug suspect wounded in PDEA operation in Lapu

A suspected drug pusher was shot after he tried to stab an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 last Friday afternoon. Darwin Berdin, 47, was brought to the hospital after he sustained a gunshot wound during an anti-drug operation in Barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.

Seized from Berdin were seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P2, 000, a coin purse and a kitchen knife.

The suspect will be facing complaints for the violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, and direct assault. /JOB
