THE pregnancy of a women is a miraculous operation.
My daughter is pregnant at the moment. Together with my wife and with her we went to the hospital for an ultra-sound. There we watched on the screen how the baby is developing and is moving from one side to the other.
One amazing thing is that you can see that the baby that the baby is either a boy or a girl. The whole process of pregnancy takes nine months. The woman is experiencing during that process all kind of problems because the baby is moving in the womb but when the baby finally comes out from the womb into the world the women experienced a kind of liberation.
I believe this is similar to what Christ did for our salvation. Christ was sent by God the Father to the world in order to save us. During his whole life He experienced all kind of sufferings. He got so much opposition from the authorities in that time. They made Him carry his cross until mount Calvary where he was finally nailed on the cross. His Mother Mary watched Him there under the cross when he was taken down from the cross and was laid into the tomb. But after three days He was raised from the tomb and went back to his father in heaven. That was the day of the Resurrection and we were finally saved from our sins for our salvation.
In other words, the process of delivery is like that of Christ. The woman who was pregnant and delivered the baby is like a co-creator.
Today, there are so-called medicines which are abortifacent. I think that is criminal: to kill your baby when it is still in the womb and has not come yet into the world. This is criminal: to kill your baby when it is still in the womb and has not come yet into the world. This is criminal and un-Christian. We should protest against this by all means.
On another note, according to scientists the inner mind is an important element in one’s life. To be in tune with the Earth’s natural vibration or magnetic energy, which is to be in a relaxing, healthy state of mind.
That is probably why when we are in nature - in the mountains or the beach or in an open field, beyond the reach of the electromagnetic noise or clutter of the cities - we feel relaxed, energized, happy and at peace.
It is said that the shaman’s drums, the waves of the ocean and even the humming of the wind vibrate at the Schumann or alpha level. That is why these vibrations can induce calmness, relaxation and sometimes even a trance state. Humans need to be exposed to this frequency to be healthy, calm and peaceful.
The Carmelites have in their Rule a so-called open space. That is the place where you sit down and reflect in your mind about God’s presence.
This is probably what pregnant women should do during their pregnancy: to get a peace of mind.
