Seda Abreeza lights up the world

DAVAO'S urban lifestyle hotel welcomes the Yuletide season with a very meaningful Christmas Tree Lighting as it partners with Smile Train and HERO Foundation.

This year, Seda Abreeza brings in a more significant and relevant celebration of the holiday season by having not only one, but two CSR partners. Attended by the highly respected executives of the ANFLO Group, the Consul Generals based in Davao City, Department of Tourism, City Tourism Office, City Council, Davao Chamber of Commerce, friends from the press, and top business partners in the industry, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony endeavors to share the bright and prosperous season through the hotel’s chosen symbol: lights.

HM Ken Kapulong further elaborates this concept saying, “The hotel’s decorations and accents are highlighted by symbols of light – candles, lamps, Christmas lights – to signify hope, faith, and peace. A simple message to everyone that if we ought to unite and share all good things, we will be each other’s light and get through anything – even the hardest battles. As we partner with HERO Foundation and Smile Train, we hope to be the light they need and share this endeavor with everyone.” Seda Abreeza dedicates this holiday season to these two charities which have been dearly loved and supported by the Seda Hotels collection through the years.

Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problem: cleft lip and palate. Children born with clefts need more than just surgery. They may also need dental care, orthodontic treatment, and speech therapy. Where these services are available, they do everything they can to make them available to their patients. Guests and partners who wish to help Smile Train may buy their Christmas Tree ornaments for sale (Php100-300). All proceeds will go to the said charity.

Help Educate and Rear Orphans (HERO) Foundation is an organization that aims to give assistance to the children of our fallen and incapacitated soldiers. The support comes in the form of stipends that are directly given to the families to help them with the cost of books, uniform, meals, transportation, school supplies and sometimes, even their tuition fees. To give our highest salute and gratefulness to our real-life heroes, part of the revenues for December and January shall be donated to HERO Foundation.

The partnership was sealed and made official through a ceremonial gift giving with Smile Train and HERO Foundation representatives, patients, and scholars.

The ceremonial lighting was initiated by Damosa Land VP Cary Lagdameo, Councilor Bernie Al-ag, CTOO Generose Tecson, Consul Tomoko Dodo, Consul Berlian Napitupulu, Seda Abreeza’s HM Ken Kapulong, Smile Train’s Country Manager Kimmy Coseteng-Flaviano, and HERO Foundation’s Executive Director MGen. Victor Bayani.

The tree lighting was followed by a Christmas musical show from Muzicskool’s GAP 69, and a Yuletide food showcase by Seda Abreeza’s culinary team served for cocktails. (PR)
