Viray: Harvest of awards

YOU reap what you plant. The Local Government Unit of the City of San Fernando bagged several trophies and awards for the year 2017. This is a traceable to proper husbanding of resources. This also speaks well of a responsible leader.

In the month of March, Mayor Edwin Santiago was cited as one of the Most Outstanding Mayors of the Philippines by Superbrand Marketing International. Every Fernandino should be proud that their leader is primus inter pares (First among equals).

Earlier in February, our City was awarded as “Outstanding Healthy Lifestyle Advocate” in the 5th Central Luzon Excellence Awards of the Department of Health. The credit goes to Dra. Eloisa Aquino and her dynamic staff of the Rural Health Unit.

In May, the City was among the Top Model Cities, Business Friendly City selected by prestigious Manila Times. It also garnered First Place LGU in Customers Relations Provincial Category.

In July, the Department of Information and Communications gave the E-Readiness Leadership Award during the E-BPLS Summit to our City.

In August, the energetic group of Raymond del Rosario was given Kalasag Award as the Best City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council for the Region.

In October, the City of San Fernando was Second Place for Economic Dynamism conferred by the National Competitiveness Council in Metro Manila. Then in fitting tribute, the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers chose our Mayor Edsa as the Most Outstanding Mechanical Engineer in the field of Government Service.

In November, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation cited our City Rural Health Unit as the among the “highest national care package” in the entire country. As if these awards are not enough, the seal of Good Governance of the DILG was added to the feathers in our cap.

Your local government is in good hands. In this world of modern day technology, all awards are documented and the Fernandinos have done exceedingly well to deserve these blessings.

Fernandino Ing Mumuna (Fernandino First)!

Fernandino Ing Manimuna (Fernandino Leads)!
