Dimson highlights unity in Guagua event

GUAGUA -- Pampanga Second District Board Member Salvador Dimson, Jr. has called on residents and political leaders of this town to work for the common good and unite this Christmas season.

Dimson, who represented Governor Lilia Pineda in the ceremonial Christmas lantern lighting event here, said that the leaders of the town should draw inspiration from the Christmas lantern.

"While the lantern has many different colors, all work to give their light and beauty for the whole," Dimson said, adding that while sectors and leaders of the town have different views and principles, they should work for the common good of the town.

The ceremonial lighting of the lanterns, Dimson said, is a reminder to the people of Guagua to remain united despite of the odds.

Dimson stressed that unity is a crucial factor in the success of the governance of the town.

"The ceremonial lighting should remind us that we should become the light the shines for others and not for ourselves alone," Dimson said.

Dimson said that no one likes a busted lantern, more so no one likes a person that only brings the town's future into darkness.
