CEBUANA actress Kim Chiu and Pop rock royalty Yeng Constantino held a concert for a cause last November 25 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

The concert’s proceeds will go to the Shepherd’s Cebu Inc., whose mission is to help people who are in need, support different apostolic works, religious communities and special projects of universal church.

Joining Chiu and Constantino were Cebu’s singing priests Fr. Jonas Mejares and Fr. Romeo Desuyo.

The Cebuana actress sang Jonas Blue’s Perfect Strangers and her hit song “Ikaw na ba si Mr. Right?”

She added that she really missed Cebu, the province’s language and the famous lechon (roasted pig).

Constantino sang her hit songs Ikaw, Hawak Kamay and Chinito.

Yeng said that she felt nervous singing to Cebuano crowd as Cebuanos are very hard to please in music.

She also shared her excitement to come back in Cebu to visit Bantayan Island in northern Cebu and a possible back-to-back concert with Fr. Mejares.

The other performers who serenaded the crowd were the San Diego Dance Troupe and the Knapsack dancers with Mustard seed band for music and melodic Abba Choir.

Girl group ‘Maka Girls’ also performed their original piece “Gugmang Maka” during the concert. (USC AB Communications Intern Vincent Clark Ermac/SunStar Philippines)
