Family of 6 in Sagay arrested for robbery

SIX family members with an arrest warrant for robbery were apprehended by the police in Sagay City, Negros Occidental Tuesday afternoon, December 5.

Collared were the Amelio family, including Jomel, 23; Ronald, 44; Gina, 49; Danilo, 55; Antonio, 62; and Armando, 30, all residents of Hacienda Columbia, Barangay Malubon.

Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, city police chief, served the arrest warrant issued by Judge Reginald Fuentebella of Regional Trial Court Branch 73 in Sagay City.

The court set a bail of P24,000 for the provisional liberty of each of the accused.

In an interview, the family denied the accusations against them, claiming that they have already settled it with the complainant in court. (GYM)
