Body wrapped in plastic bag found in City of Naga

A MAN believed to be in his thirties was found wrapped in a plastic bag near a river in Barangay Mainit, City of Naga on Wednesday.

In a police report, a resident was fetching water by the river when he found the man wrapped in a black plastic bag at 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 6.

Initially curious of the contents of the black bag, the resident decided to check it when he saw what looks like a person's shoulder.

The resident immediately called the police and report what he found.

When investigators led by Police Officer 3 Rolly Getubig opened the bag, they found the man, wearing maong shorts and a sleeveless shirt.

Stab wounds were found in different parts of the man's body.

Senior Insp. Leo Logroño, acting City of Naga police chief, said until now, they are still trying to find out who the man is.

Logroño said the man had no IDs or any document on him that could identify him.

They also believed that the person is not from the City of Naga as they have not received reports of any missing person recently.

The man's body is currently being kept at the St. Francis Funeral Homes in Cebu City.
