Man carrying loose firearm arrested

A 32-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for carrying an unlicensed firearm on Wednesday night, December 6, in Tabok Lamak, Barangay Yati, Liloan, Cebu.

Chief Inspector Randy Korret, the town police commander, identified the suspect as Anthony Ramirez Amay, who yielded a .38 revolver loaded with two bullets.

A resident who saw Amay carrying the gun reported to the police station.

Korret dispatched a team to arrest the suspect. Amay will be charged for violating Republic Act 10591, which penalizes persons carrying unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
