Skynora-Davao attracts local, foreign firms

INTERNATIONAL and local firms are now inquiring to Skynora, a premium office space provider, to expand presence in Davao City.

Skynora Vice President Julie Go said in a media interview during their media launching last December 4 at the Marco Polo Hotel – Davao bared that interests among prospective clients are strong especially those from the Business Process Management (BPM) industry.

“There are a lot of inquiries already, in fact we talked to different companies, not just based in Davao but in Manila and abroad but nothing is official yet,” she said.

She added that the profiles of these companies are BPMs (mixture of local and international players), insurance companies, and freelancers, among others.

“There are also Manila-based companies who want to set satellite offices here (Davao),” Go said.

Skynora, which is set to be operational by January next year offers premium office solutions including seat leasing. The 491-seater facility is a mixture of BPM seat leasing and co-working spaces.

“Seat leasing is offered to BPMs, IT firms or any companies who have the same needs, who wanted to start their own businesses, to have expansion. It will be affordable because we will be providing not just the space but also the amenities like the pantry, the lounge, the reception, etc.” Go shared.

Skynora President and CEO Asaad Qureshi, who is a Canadian, said that he invested in the Philippines, particularly in Davao City because of its economic growth potentials.

“Davao has a lot of growth potential, there so much growth that is yet to be tapped,” he said.

Qureshi said that doing business here is easy and commendable.

“Doing business here is very great and easy. More than that, there is so much talent to tap. Also, I feel like I’m safe here. It’s a nice place to do business especially that the economy here is growing,” the CEO said.
