Lubao lass crowned Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2017

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- A young lady of “beauty and brains” from Lubao town, Ann Carlisle Castro, was crowned Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2017 during the coronation night on Sunday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

Candidates who landed in the top five were Eloiza A. Canlas of Mexico, first runner-up, Reizzha Danielle S. Razon of Bacolor, second runner-up; Patrisha Kamille L. Gutierrez of Minalin, third runner-up, and Hazel Ayn R. Erickson of Angeles City, fourth runner-up.

Those who were part of the Top 11 were candidates from Angeles City, Bacolor, Lubao, Mabalacat, Macabebe, Magalang, Mexico, Minalin, Porac, City of San Fernando and San Luis.

Candidates who were given special awards were the following:

- Ann Carlisle Castro of Lubao - Miss Montage Choice

- Eloiza Canlas of Mexico – Best in Long Gown

- Rayne Jhereme Enriquez of Sta Ana – Miss Photogenic

- Cyrille O. Payumo of Porac – Miss Congeniality

- Camille B. Sandel of Macabebe – Miss Telegenic and Best in Casual Wear

- Shaira Marie Rona of Arayat – Darling of the Press

- Hazel Ayn R. Erickson of Angeles City – Miss Yuki Skin Care

- Cyrille O. Payumo of Porac – Miss Jancen & Best in Swim Wear

- Airish Joy S. Rivera of Magalang - Miss Tomas Dizon Foundation Institute

- Czarina V. Guevarra of Guagua – Miss Skin Bureau and Miss Sky Glutha

- Hazel Ayn R. Erickson of Angeles City – SM Choice Award

- Laurice B. Sumat of San Luis - Smart Texter’s Choice

The other candidates who vied for the coveted title include Czarina Mae Calma of Apalit, Rachelle Ann A. Abella of Candaba, Angelica D. Dizon of Floridablanca, Jayvilyn C. Meneses of Masantol, Mariz R. Belo of San Simon, Aira Mamangun of Sasmuan, Rianne Aina V. Cruz of Sta. Rita and Vanessa Yvon G. Sicat of City of San Fernando Mary, Joy D. Ocampo of Sto. Tomas.

Governor Lilia Pineda conveyed her congratulations to all the candidates whom she considered as “Mutya Ning Kapampangan” as they serve as models and ambassadresses of the youth in their respective towns and cities.

She said the candidates as genuinely beautiful, intelligent and talented who have the great potentials to boosts the tourism growth of the province.

“It inspires us to shine as an individual, as a community and a province. Pampanga now belongs to the top ten richest provinces in the country,” she added.

Board Member Ananias Canlas Jr., this year’s chairman of the Committee on Mutya Ning Kapampangan thanked all those who overwhelmingly supported the activities of the prestigious beauty pageant.

Canlas said his gratitude to Governor Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis Pineda and the Provincial Board, department heads of the provincial government, candidates, and sponsors for the success of the Mutya ning Kapampangan 2017.

Without them they cannot achieve the success of the Mutya Ning Kapampangan, he said.

He said being chairman, he considered the event as a great experience and a remarkable feat not only for the province but those who worked hard behind the success of the event.

Canlas said Mutya Ning Kapampangan has given way for Kapampangans to be together in unity, beauty, cooperation and compassion.

It was one of the highlights of the 446th Aldo Ning Kapampangan or Pampanga Day. (PR)
