2 hotel guests arrested in drug bust

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has seized close to P60,000 worth of illegal drugs and arrested two persons in a drug bust at a local hotel in Zamboanga City on Wednesday, December 13.

PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio identified the suspects as Muaser Abdulla, 34 and Adz Lajarani, 30.

Aspacio said they were arrested around 2:10 a.m. in one of the rooms of the hotel after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P500 to an undercover PDEA agent.

He said seized from the suspects’ possession were 11.88 grams of suspected shabu packed in eight heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P59,400, illegal drug paraphernalia and P500 marked money.

He said the suspects will be charged for violations of Section 26 (Attempt or Conspiracy) in relation to Section 5 (Selling of Illegal Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) of Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
