CCPO nabs 34 persons; rescues 13 minors

NOW that they’re back in the government’s war on illegal drugs, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) caught 10 alleged drug personalities in their Oplan Pokemon. 

“Someone reported to us (about their illegal activities) so when our police officers responded, shabu was discovered in plain view,” said CCPO spokesperson Supt. Artemio Ricabo.

Seized from the suspects were 71 small sachets of suspected shabu worth P 46,106.

Twenty-four others were also arrested for various offenses while 13 minors that includes 11  boys and two girls were rescued in Cebu City.

With the resumption of the police’s anti-illegal drug operations, the body cameras donated to the CCPO will be used. 

CCPO was given six body cameras by SugboTek Inc. last month.

Ricabo said that their anti-illegal drug operations are open to the media so they can witness it. 

The Oplan Pokemon was conducted by the differnt CCPO units last Thursday.

Aside from illegal drugs, police seized three loose firearms, two caliber .38 revolvers and a caliber .357  revolver. (JOB)
