STARTING Saturday, December 16, the public may now enjoy the ambiance of the newly-renovated Provincial Capitol Lagoon and Park in Bacolod City.
The Office of the Governor yesterday announced the reopening of the public facility following the completion of its development.
Governor Alfredo Maranon Jr. said the Provincial Government will open the doors in the morning this weekend just in time for the early activities of joggers, walkers and park-goers.
In December last year, real estate giant Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) started the P25-million worth of development for the Capitol Lagoon and Park.
It is part of the P750-million land purchase agreement between the ALI and the Provincial Government.
Ayala and Capitol signed lease and sale contracts involving the 7.7-hectare prime property in Bacolod City, which totaled P6 billion.
The Lagoon and Park development included replacement of the fence with hedges, installation of lighting, and playground, among others. (EPN)
