GEARING up for a future of non-traditional careers, Southwestern University (SWU) Phinma officially launched its SWU Next Programs to the public.
Last Dec. 9, SWU Phinma invited senior high students from different schools and universities in Cebu to witness the launch at Fort San Pedro. With the theme “Down The Rabbit Hole,” SWU Phinma organized a launch party like no other. While known for its medical-related courses, the institution aims to market its other equally excellent programs. The SWU Next Programs were showcased through a fun yet informative skit. Guests were also treated to carnival fare such as popcorn, ice cream and waffles and a special performance by fire dancers.
“Tonight, we show the other side of SWU. SWU Next caters to the new generation of learners. We hope to offer something different, hopefully something better, something the industry needs and that the students will appreciate and love. We are forward-looking, different and unafraid,” said SWU chief operations officer Albert Gamboa.
The SWU Next Programs are Business, Communications, Information Technology, Hospitality, Veterinary Medicine, Architecture and Sports Science. The first five are already existing programs while Architecture is expected to be offered starting 2018 and Sports Science in 2019.
