From dried mangoes to residences

HOMEGROWN Everjust Realty Corp. is breaking into the residential condominium business, a move buoyed by the growing property sector in Mandaue City.

It formed Jiprop Development Corp. with its flagship project, the P2-billion J Tower Residences located within the JCentre Mall property along AS Fortuna St.

Jiprop chairman Justin Uy said J Tower Residences will be tallest building in Mandaue City.

It is a 40-storey tower that will have 1,271 units.

Fourteen garden villa units are located at the fourth floor of the tower while 1,200 studio units are located at the 5th up to the 34th level of the building and 60 penthouse units at the 35th up to the 40th level.

“Since this will be Mandaue City’s tallest building so far, all rooms will have a great view of Mandaue, Cebu and Mactan,” said Uy, also the president of Profood International Corp., a company known for exporting dried mangoes.

According to Uy, the condominium project answers the demand of proximity to integrated services.

J Tower Residences will have a three-way connection to JCentre Mall, which also houses the Toyoko Inn and Skywater Park Cebu.

The condominium tower will be completed in three years. Amenities include al fresco dining, clubhouse, garden, lap pool and jogging path.

Uy said his venture into the residential segment is a stepping stone to more vertical developments.

He said he is looking at Mandaue and Mactan as possible locations for his future condominium projects and plans to build over a thousand units.

Uy’s Everjust Realty Corp. is the company behind the development of JCentre Mall and operates JPark Resort and Spa in Mactan.
