THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO) arrested six wanted personalities and profiled a total of 2,007 individuals during the simultaneous joint Anti-Criminality and Terrorism Operations dubbed as Oplan Bulabog on Thursday, December 21.
DCPO spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan said the operation started around 6 a.m. of December 21 in coordination with various law enforcement agencies.
The operation led to the arrest of six wanted persons. Arrested were Rex Anthony Jimena for violation of Presidential Decree (PD) 1602 or Simplifying and Providing Stiffer Penalties for Violations of Gambling Laws; Lala Gumahid for robbery; Mark Glen R. Binalay for frustrated murder; Virginia V. Antiado for falsification of private documents; Alfred F. Jubahib for slight physical injury; and Sunny T. Enquio for rape.
The series of operations also resulted in the profiling of 2,007 residents. Of the number, 1,839 transient individuals have an identification card, while 168 have none.
The operations also resulted in the issuance of 14 Temporary Operation Permits (TOPs) for various minor traffic violations and one citation ticket for violation of City Ordinance 0367-12 or the Anti-smoking Ordinance.
The operations were initiated by DCPO together with Task Force Davao, Regional Public Safety Battalion, Philippine Coast Guard, Regional Maritime Unit, National Bureau of Investigation, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and Intelligence Agencies.
The series of operations were conducted in Police Station 1 (Purok 3 and Purok Lizada, Barangay 26-C); PS2 (Purok 1, Barangay 1-A); PS3 (Taal St., Bangkal); PS4 (Sto Rosario, Km 12, Barangay Sasa); PS5 (Purok San Antonio, Barangay Indangan); PS6 (Kabayan Relocation, Tibungco); PS8 (Carlson, Barangay Lubogan, Toril); PS9 (Golden Shower, Mintal); and PS10 (Babad Village, Barangay Riverside, Calinan).
