Lightning kills fisherman in Zamboanga City

A FISHERMAN died after he was hit by lighting off shore Zamboanga City, the police reported Saturday.

Chief Inspector Joel Tuttuh, Zamboanga City police spokesman, disclosed the incident occurred around 10 a.m. Friday near the shore of Buenavista village.

Tuttuh identified the victim as Rey Magsucang, a resident of Buenavista village.

Investigation showed Magsucang was fishing at the coast of Buenavista when lightning struck, killing him instantly.

He said the victim’s body was taken to his house by the other fishermen.
