Gueco: SMACP’S Gold

ZOOMING to the peak of excellence, SAINT MARY’S ANGELS COLLEGE OF PAMPANGA (SMACP), won the championship in the 2015 Bridge Competition held last October 9, 2015 at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, Malolos, Bulacan during the annual competition sponsored by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE).

Joining the event were the different colleges and universities offering BS in Civil Engineering Program in Region three.

According to the team’s coach, Engr. Ernesto Q. Villarica, their winning formula is anchored on these ideals.

“Enjoy…No Self-Pressure…but Prepare” which made them successfully bagged this year’s Champion for the Bridge Building Competition. SMACP’s team was composed of BSCE students, Marcelo G. Dela Peña Jr., Jeffrey P. Dela Cruz, Kristel Ann S. Hipolito, Alvin V. Sorial and Gian M. Cortez.

Kudos to their competent and professional group.

Concomitantly, Atty. Ma. Sharon R. Peñaflorida, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, also underscored the following message:

“Christmas is in the air and people somehow already feel the warmth and joy the season brings. Saint Mary’s Angels College of Pampanga joins the spirit of Christmas by sharing through the DRR scholars which comprise 94% of its studentry in the College Department. This is in line with its late Chairman’s legacy, ENGR. DAMIAN R. RAMOS, whose 1st year death anniversary will be celebrated this Nov. 10.

With DRR and his wife and president of the institution, Mrs. Susan C. Ramos’ vision to provide good and quality education, SMACP proved to excel in its field as the Civil Engineering Department won as Champion on the last Regional Bridge Competition last October 9, 2015. The CE team will represent Region III in the national competition in Bacolod City this December 2015.

As 2015 is about to end, the SMACP family is thankful for the 10 years of committed service to share to students the Marian values the Ramos family practices and it is seriously preparing for the Senior High School that is part of the K to 12 program of our government.

SMACP is looking forward to 2016 where the education platform will have a global alignment to our neighboring countries and we are very positive given the skills and talents of Filipino people specially the Kapampangans and the Region III people.”

Free Tesda Assessment

Furthermore, Dean of College and Assessment Center Manager Dr. Evelyn G. Villegas Ph.D states:

“Truly, by raising up the banner of education and empowerment, we instill in the minds and hearts of our students the technical knowhow melded with compassion as well as education interfaced with community service.”

Partnering with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), SMACP will be conducting a Free Competency Assessment in food Processing NCII and Carpentry NC II under the National Competency Assessment and Certification (NATCAC) Program on November 12 to 13, 2015.

Furthermore, focusing on community service, Saint Mary’s Angels College of Pampanga (SMACP) will give a community service skills program anent Food Processing at Brgy. Sto. Rosario, Sta. Ana, Pampanga and in Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga November 3 to 7, 2015. Thenceforth, this workshop will alleviate poverty as it jump-starts their economic productivity and success.
