GMA Network has revealed five shows that will premiere within the first quarter of this year.

Lovi Poe, Max Collins, and Rhian Ramos will banner the romantic-comedy “The One That Got Away,” which talks about the “unlikely but strong friendship” among the characters of the three Kapuso leading ladies. The bond among them was developed after discovering that they got all involved with the same guy at some point in their lives. The said role is portrayed by Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo. At the helm of it are award-winning director Maryo J. delos Reyes and Mark dela Cruz.

Another offering is the action-drama series “Sherlock Jr.” a story about the friendship between a reporter and golden retriever named Serena. A reunion project for loveteam Ruru Madrid and Gabbi Garcia, the series is also set to feature Janine Gutierrez in a special role. Directing it is Rechie del Carmen.

Completing the lineup for this quarter’s launch are three programs under the network’s Afternoon Prime block.

First is “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka” topbilled by Yasmien Kurdi, Martin del Rosario, Jackie Rice, and Mike Tan. This is not a regular drama series, as this is an advocacy as well, particularly on the issue of HIV. On top of the directing responsibilities is Neal del Rosario.

Second on this list is the Megan Young and Mikael Daez-starrer “The Stepdaughters.” With Paul Sta. Ana at the helm of it, the show tackles the possible things one is capable of doing because of family, honor, and love.

The third show in the lineup is Glaiza de Castro’s “Contessa.” Directed by Albert Langitan, the series is all about a woman who cries for justice after being accused of a crime she never committed.
