Bzzzzz: ‘Dumb as a brick’; ‘tao lang po’ sila

BANNON LOST HIS MIND? In a book by Michael Wolff due to come out this week, “Fire and Fury: Inside Trump’s White House,” Steve Bannon, the U.S. president’s campaign CEO and long-time pal in the nationalist-populist cause they nurtured together, calls Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russians “treasonous, unpatriotic or bad sh*t” and Trump’s daughter Ivanka “dumb as a brick.” Firing back, Trump said Bannon “has nothing to do with me and my presidency and has lost his mind.”

A “spectacular falling away” between allies.

Whose is bigger?

u2018BIGGER PENIS.’ Stephen Colbert, host of CBSs “The Late Show,” in a Jan. 3 monologue, asked former U.S. President Obama to go on national TV and admit President Trump has a bigger penis than he. The comic believes that would “calm down” Trump and stop his claim of having a “bigger button” and rattling the sword of war at North Korea’s Kim Jong-un.

Gachalian: ‘tao lang po’

SENATOR’S MELTDOWN. Sen. Win Gachalian who called netizen critics “ulol” and “gago” said that even those who were good in the past have a breaking point. “Tao rin po kami,” he said, and internet bashers caused him to lose it.

The senator who used to praise then president Noynoy Aquino commented that the nation had lost its soul since six years ago under Noynoy. “Ingrato, balimbing” were among the comments. No, Win didn’t explain the shift in his opinion of Aquino whom he said he admired for his anti-corruption efforts.

No button actually

JUST A ‘FOOTBALL.” U.S. President Trump who boasted of having a “bigger and more powerful button” on his desk than North Korea’s Kim Jong-un was corrected by New York Times. It’s not a button but a “football” carried by a military aide who accompanies the president wherever he goes.

The button that’s known to be on his Oval Office desk is a red one in a box. When Trump presses the button, a White House butler comes in -- with a Diet Coke.
