THE Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) will make sure that personnel who will replace the relieved policemen in Talisay City have no derogatory records.
CPPO Deputy Provincial Director forAdministration Supt. Jaime Quiocho said they will see to it that the new police officers are trained to carry out the duties of those relieved.
“We will get the personnel from the public safety battalion or from those police stations who have excess personnel. We have to make sure that they won’t be another headache to the Talisay Police Station,” Quiocho said.
In the meantime, Talisay City Chief Supt. Jason Villamater said he will have the remaining police officers in Talisay City work overtime to make up for the vacancy left by the relieved officers.
Villamater said they will follow the orders regarding the relief of his men.
Asked what will happen to the 12 officers after they will undergo a seminar, Villamater said it will depend on his superiors’ decision. Meanwhile, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) will place some Mabolo police officers under investigation.
This, after they raided a circus allegedly conducting illegal gambling activities.
“They said that someone really complained against the business. If we find out that there are irregularities in the operation, they will face administrative charges,” Supt. Artemio Ricabo, deputy city director for administration of the CCPO said. (JOB, USJ-R Intern Aubrey Rose J. Secuya)
