THE Bureau of Customs in Davao region exceeded its collection target by P2.8 billion in 2017.
The BOC Collection District 12, which includes the ports of Davao, Dadiangas, Parang and Mati, had P13.59 billion target but exceeded it by P16.43 billion by year-end.
This is the highest reported in its 90-year history, according to the BOC. It has doubled its previous, highest surplus in the past five years at P1.24 billion in 2014.
