FIRE hit the Data Center of the Davao Light and Power Company Inc. at its administration office along C. Bangoy Street (Ponciano Reyes) in Davao City around 9 a.m. of January 7.
Although the fire was put out at 10:30 a.m., Davao Light said this will affect its customer service, as it will have to rebuild its data operations. Customer payments will be done manually at the moment.
Rodger S. Velasco, Davao Light's EVP and COO, said the company's call center [229-3572] is also temporarily down, but its emergency service continues.
Customer services at the SM Malls and Panabo Branch such as bill payments, complaints and applications are temporarily being processed manually. Customers should anticipate a slowdown.
"While we are working on restoring our services swiftly, please use our official Facebook page and Twitter account to contact us," Velasco said. "We deeply apologize to our customers for any inconvenience the incident may cause them."
