Pampanga cops bag 5 in anti-drug operations

OPERATIVES from the Pampanga Provincial Police Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon, have arrested five wanted drug personalities in various anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Candaba, Floridablanca and Lubao towns.

In Candaba, authorities identified the suspect as Aries Gonzalez De Guzman, 36, single, a resident of Sitio 1 Barangay Bahay Pare, Candaba, who has been considered the seventh most wanted drug personality in the town.

Confiscated from his possession were four transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride).

In Floridablanca, three drug personalities were arrested in two separate operations conducted Wednesday, January 10.

The drug bust in Barangay Valdez resulted in the arrest of Desiderio Suson Jr., alias Jay (a former drug surrenderer), 34, a resident of Sanchez street, Barangay Valdez, Floridablanca, and Michael Pineda, 40, of Purok 1 Barangay Solib, Floridablanca.

The operation also led to the confiscation of seven sachets of suspected shabu and one single red Honda TMX 155 MC with plate number FX 4549.

Another drug bust resulted in the arrest of Noel Flores, 50, a resident of San Nicolas, Betis, Guagua, Pampanga. Seized from him were 10 sachets of shabu, a P500 bill, one black wallet, and one Black Yamaha YTX 125 without plate number.

In Lubao, police and PDEA operatives nabbed Jonathan Garcia, 29, a resident of Purok Ligaya, Barangay Pulung Masle, Guagua, Pampanga, during a drug bust in Barangay San Roque Dau 1st, Lubao town.

Confiscated from the suspect were one red empty pack of Marlboro containing 10 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu and the P500 marked money.

The suspects are now facing a criminal case for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165.
