Welcome arches, new landmark inaugurated in Tagum

AS new infrastructures are being developed in the city, the Local Government of Tagum continues to conduct inaugurations and blessing of national and local funded infrastructure projects - this time ticking six projects off the checklist.

The blessing and inauguration of Tagum City’s latest projects was conducted by no less than Mayor Allan L. Rellon spearheading the activity.

Five new boundary arches are now established within Tagum to mark the city’s borderlines and to serve as welcome signs for vehicles going inside the city. These arches were installed in select boundary locations of Barangays Pagsabangan, Magdum, Apokon, Madaum, and Bincungan with fundings from the Department of Public Works and Highways.

Other than the boundary arches, the newest landmark, “Banduria” monument in Tagum was formally unveiled on the same day as the blessing and inauguration of the infrastructures. The new landmark is a manifestation of the city’s love for music. It reflects the city’s love for music and also serves as a symbol of Tagumenyos’ pride being the Music Capital of the South.

The Banduria monument was adorned by musical notes and a set of kulintang, in representation of one of the major highlights in the festival which is the rondalla competition.

These latest established projects of the City Government of Tagum certainly boost the infrastructure development agenda of Mayor Allan L. Rellon’s Eagle Wings program. (PR)
