BM Escalante has most number of ordinances, resolutions filed

SECOND District Board Member Salvador Escalante has the most number of ordinances and resolutions filed in 2017, records of the Provincial Board showed.

Escalante filed 485 resolutions under the committee on finance and ways and means, and 64 resolutions under the committee on human resources as well as 23 ordinances.

Escalante, who chairs both committees, is a senior member of the board and is now on his third and last term.

Fifth District Board Member Alain Gatuslao was in second place with 165 resolutions under the committee on laws, rules and ordinances and 42 under the committee on cooperatives, and two ordinances.

In third spot, Sixth District Board Member Helen Zafra sponsored 112 resolutions. Also, Sixth District Board Member Pedro Zayco filed 31 resolutions under the committee on education while Second District Board Member Samson Mirhan, who chairs the committee on natural disasters and calamities, had 24 resolutions.

First District Board Members Rommel Debulgado and Antonio Encarquez filed 22 and 21 resolutions, respectively.

Fifth District Board Member Renato Malabor Jr. filed nine resolutions; Fourth District Board Member Victor Javellana, 18 resolutions and one ordinance; and Fourth District Board Member Jose Maria Alonso, 10 resolutions.

Third District’s David Albert Lacson filed five resolutions and Manuel Frederick Ko, 12 resolutions.

Board Member Valentino Miguel Alonso, who represents the Philippine Councilors League, sponsored one resolution and one ordinance while Board Member Anabelle Bermudo of the Association of Barangay Captains had nine resolutions.

The Provincial Board passed a total of 1065 resolutions and 27 ordinances in 2017.
