The Garden of Giving

IN the Garden of Giving are reflections of who we are.

Artist Rey Mudjahid "Kublai" Ponce Millan racks up the ante for the word prolific in unimaginable heights as he creates from paintings to sculptures all at the same time and finishing them at speed that would take other artists years to finish.

The Garden of Giving is a project that very few know about. It's in a private property as of the moment. But there are plans to open it to the public in this place they call "Tau-hai".

Work has been going on all throughout 2017 as the garden is made in between commissioned works and major exhibits. The centerpiece of the garden is a pair of giant hands lifted up to the heavens in prayer, in supplication, and in offering.

Around it are different cubist sculptures depicting people living the simple and peaceful lives: Planting, making music, dancing, reading, learning, playing... In copper-toned finish, the sculptures blend into the flowers and plants that are interspersed with the concrete forms, creating a landscape that speaks of the beauty of the simple joys people of Mindanao live, calling us to reflect on who we really are and how we want to proceed.

I'm not at the liberty to say where this is yet and the photos are but a preview of things to come.
