A FIRE hit a residential area in Barangay Pasil, Cebu City, Sunday noon.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said it received the alarm at 12:28 p.m. and Task Force Alpha was raised at 12:47 p.m., as the fire already consumed several houses in the area.
Firefighters are still trying to put out the fire as of this posting.
Mayor Tomas Osmeña, who was at the Cebu City Sports Center watching the Sinulog sa Barangay when the fire broke out, said he will allocate a special slot for Pasil's contingents next Sunday, January 21.
The contingent of Barangay Pasil will not be able to present in today's Sinulog sa Barangay since most of its members are residents of the affected area. (SunStar Philippines)
