Gacad: New beginnings

CONGRATULATIONS to the "new" members of the MGB-CAR family who recently received their appointments to various positions in the organization.

Some are transferees from other regions while most are the young blood or millenials as commonly referred to now. Here's hoping that the injection of fresh ideas will result to an atmosphere of creativity and innovation so that the quality of public service will move a notch higher.

More than half of the MGB-CAR's personnel belong to the 45-55plus years old scale. The addition of the "bunsos" should allow for a smooth and efficient transition from the "older system" to a more effective, efficient and responsive organization - hopefully.

Welcome to the following MGB-CAR "new kids on the block" namely: Mine Safety, Environment and Social Development Division (MSESDD): Edward Henry, Jr. - Senior Science Research Specialist, Christopher Sibayan - Science Research Specialist II, Janine Grace Abnasan (sige na nga saling-pusa haha); Mine Management Division (MMD): Melissa Namoro - Engineer II; Geosciences Division (GSD): Vinalyn Marrero - Geologist II; Administrative and Finance Division: Grecilda Marcelo (yehey napromote) - Administrative Officer III, Dickson Ray Kimmakim (wow napromote din haha!) - Administrative Assistant II, and Karen Nietes - Administrative Assistant II. Congratulations and a lot is expected from all of you.

Devotion to the Santo Niño (Holy Child), an image of Jesus as a small boy typically dressed as a king, is a mainstay of Philippine Catholic life. Devotions to him are part of every parish’s life, and in some places a major feast of the year.
Some image of Santo Niño is found in almost every Filipino home, because Filipinos believe that the Santo Niño is their protector and has the power to grant and answer their prayers.Happy Fiesta to the officers and members of the Philex Mining Corporation community located at Padcal, Tuba, Benguet. Viva Santo Niño!
