Global acquires two more players from disbanded FC Meralco Manila

GLOBAL Cebu FC added two more players from the now-defunct FC Meralco Manila.

Global Cebu FC officially announced the signing of forward Jinggoy Valmayor and midfielder Daniel Gadia.

Valmayor and Gadia join FC Meralco Manila teammate 23-year-old goalkeeper Florencio Badelic Jr., who was signed earlier.

The 25-year-old Valmayor, a native of San Carlos City, helped the University of the Philippines (UP) win titles in the UAAP, wherein he was also named Rookie of the Year. He has also represented the country in international competition with the Azkals. The 22-year-old Gadia is also a former UP Fighting Maroon and an MVP in the UAAP. He has also represented the Philippines in international competition since 2016.

Gadia played for Pachanga Diliman in the United Football League (UFL) from 2013 to 2016 before moving to FC Meralco Manila.

Another of Global Cebu FC’s signing in the transfer window is 19-year-old Cebuano defender Jordan Jarvis.

Global Cebu FC made up with its recent signings after losing some of its key players, the likes of Misagh Bahadoran, winger Hikaru Minegishi and top defender Amani Aguinaldo. (EKA)
