Robbery group leader served with another arrest warrant

PERSONNEL of Police Station 4 led by Chief Inspector Ritchie Gohee served on Wednesday another arrest warrant for robbery against suspected rob group leader Johnnie Villarete III at Purok Riverside, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.

The court has set a bail of P100,000 for his provisional liberty.

Gohee said they were able to serve Villarete another warrant while he was about to be released from detention at Police Station 2 after he posted bail Wednesday of P200,000 and P40,000 for illegal possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia, respectively.

He remains detained at the station.

The arrest warrant for robbery came after he was identified by a taxi driver as among the two suspects, who robbed him along C.L. Motelibano Avenue, Barangay Villamonte in Bacolod a few weeks ago.

On Tuesday, Villarete was arrested by personnel of Police Station 2 led by Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias Jr. for robbery.

Villarete was previously arrested by operatives of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bacolod at Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp. port in October last year for robbery. He posted bail of P100,000 a few hours after his apprehension.

Villarete and his group were involved in a robbery incident in Silay City and a series of robbery incidents in Bacolod last year.

He was arrested last August 18 after police recovered from his house suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and drug paraphernalia.
