CAN you hear the drums, Fernando?” Or so the Abba hit song goes. But the sound of the drums in the song is related to war while what we hear these days signal the coming of the feast of the Holy Child, fondly called the Señor Santo Niño.


The country’s giant TV networks are expected to make their presence felt in the festivities. GMA 7 artists Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Christian Bautista and Julie Anne San Jose topbill the concert dubbed “3 Stars, 1 Heart” at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino tomorrow.

The Kapuso Fiesta at the Cebu Business Park will have the stars of “The One That Got Away” (Lovi Poe and Dennis Trillo), “Kambal, Karibal” (Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix) and “Sherlock Jr.” (Ruru Madrid and Matt Evans) entertaining the audience.

In the Sinulog Grand Parade, multi-talented actress-TV host Rhian Ramos and versatile leading lady Max Collins will board the Kapuso Float with GMA leading men Ivan Dorschner, Migo Adecer and Jason Abalos.


ABS-CBN will have the Kapamilya Caravan at the Robinsons Galleria tomorrow. The stars of “Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin” (Coleen Garcia, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson and Jake Cuenca), “Asintado” (Julia Montes and Aljur Abrenica) and “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso” (Jodi Sta. Maria) will meet and greet their fans.

On Sunday, Julia, Aljur and Shaina Magdayao (“Asintado”) and Richard Yap and Jodi (“Sana Dalawa Ang Puso”) will go around the grand parade route onboard the Kapamilya Float.
