Sitio Babak is a Korean resto

ALONG Surveyor Street, the main road of Dona Vicenta, just one and a half block from J.P. Laurel Avenue via the corner where the Chowking Bajada is, is a restaurant named Sitio Babak.

The Korean owner said they named it Sitio Babak because that is where his Filipina wife is from.

It’s a house converted into a restaurant and its biggest draw is its location, being on the quiet side of bustling downtown.

Sitio Babak serves the regular Korean food, from jamppong to samgyeopsal and all the other regular Korean dishes.

Deng, Trisha, Imee and I were the dinner companions that night a week ago and ordered ramen, the beef bone soup (because the attendant said that is one of the most ordered dish they have), and samgyeopsal.

The beef bone soup is tender, the meat slides off the bone, and the rainy weather was perfect for it. The ramen is the regular ramen you get from a Korean restaurant hereabouts, and the samgyeopsal is not too thin nor not too thick.

That night, we went slow on the spicy stuff since Imee isn’t very much into hot spicy food, while Deng has almost zero tolerance for these.

Suffice it to say, we had a satisfying dinner with everyone going home satisfied.
