TWO suspects in a hold-up incident were slapped with robbery charges on Monday after they robbed a woman and attempted to stab her last Saturday along Barangay 28-C, Poblacion.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Police Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum said they have identified the suspects as Rey Villacario Recana, 18, and Aaron Paul Recana, 19, both residents of Doña Milagros, Bajada, Davao City.
The 19-year-old victim is a resident of Anika Homes in Tagum City.
The robbery incident was captured in a closed-circuit television (CCTV), which was posted by Berry Hermoso on Facebook with 164,572 views as of 3 p.m. yesterday. Initially, the victim went to the convenience store at the corner of Sta. Ana Avenue, Davao City not knowing that the suspects were already following her.
When the suspects had the chance, they suddenly attacked the victim and threatened to stab her if she would not give her cellphone.
The suspects carted away her Iphone 6 plus.
However, due to the help of a concerned citizen, they were cornered and brought to Sta. Ana Police Station.
