P120,000 shabu seized in Bacolor

THE Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPPO) seized in a drug bust on January 23 some P120,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs.

Joint elements of the PPPO Intelligence Branch, Bacolor police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon conducted the anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay San Isidro, Bacolor town. Arrested were three suspects.

PPPO Director Joel Consulta identified the suspects as Aileen Miclat Basilio, 40, her daughter Jenilyn Basilio Pineda, 23, and Allan Pangilinan Gonzales, 49, who all are listed in the local drugs watchlist.

Recovered from their possession were five sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with an estimated street value of P120,000 and various drug paraphernalia such as improvised tooters, lighter, aluminum foil and bundles of empty plastic sachets suspected to be used for repacking the drugs.

The suspects and the seized shabu were brought to PDEA-Central Luzon Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination, Consulta said, adding that multiple charges will be filed against the suspects for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
