Refreshingly delicious Buah Merah Mix

TOGETHER with the modernization of many things and processes around us comes the springing out of many diseases that were not as prevalent several years ago.

Because of this, Essensa Naturale came up with a solution to help keep consumers healthy through organic, non-toxic, and all-natural means. One of their champion products is the Buah Merah Mix, a powdered food supplement processed by combining fruits and green superfoods together.

“Buah Merah Mix is an herbal drink made of barley, mangosteen, moringa, wheat grass, guyabano, and finally the most effective, the buah merah. Buah merah is imported from Papua New Guinea. It only grows in the high mountains of New Guinea and cannot be found in other places in the world,” said Essensa Naturale proprietor Ismael Tabije.

The buah merah plant, as only a few might have heard about, was discovered by a Japanese Doctor of Chemistry, Doctor Toshiaki Nishigaki.

Studies showed that this plant alone is a rich source of natural Vitamin E, Omega 3, 6, and 9, which are important antioxidants and help destroy free radicals and keep healthy cells. Because of its antioxidant component, buah merah is essential in slowing down aging process and boosting the immune system. It is also noted to be rich in Pro-Vitamin A, Carotenoids including Alpha and Beta-Carotene. Mixed with mangosteen, barley, moringa, guyabano, and wheat grass, it is all the more effective in providing nutrition that the body needs.

According to Tabije, these five essential ingredients were grown and harvested from the company farm in Quezon province and processed locally in their Bulacan plant, together with the imported-from-Japan processed buah merah.

All of these six natural components, when mixed together in the proper proportion, result in a health-inducing drink and, according to Tabije, many satisfied users have voluntarily testified that, together with following their doctors’ advice and prescriptions, their supplemental daily intake of Buah Merah Mix have helped cure their diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, goiter, asthma, ulcer, myoma, stroke, arthritis, constipation, liver and kidney problems, and frequent and abnormal urination.

“This is not a medicine. It is a health drink that contains super nutrients that enhance the health of our immune system. So for example, even for the young people, who do not have much sickness in their bodies yet, but are stressed with work and other physical activities, this is good and can help as well,” said Tabije.

Tabije stressed that Essensa is the company that introduced the original Buah Merah-based drink in the Philippines since 2010. And because of its efficacy it slowly became very popular nationwide via word—of-mouth advertising by thousands of satisfied users. In fact, he said further that it has become so popular that in 2016 to 2017, a total of 42 companies have followed suit and came out with their own versions of Buah Merah-based drinks.

Aside from Buah Merah they also have other products that are still leaning towards the organic and healthy way of living. This includes Ona, a non-flouride, herbal toothpaste, Red Mint Cream, a non-camphor and non-methyl salicylate product. They also have organic beauty products such as toners, hand sanitizers, lotions, facial wash, and day and night creams.

Tabije explained that the reason they are promoting organic way of living is that medical research studies widely available online have shown that many of our everyday beauty and personal care products available in the market have traces of toxic chemicals in them that, when used frequently beyond safe levels, can be harmful to the human body. Hence, Essensa’s introduction of beauty and personal care products made of 100 percent organic, non-toxic and all-natural ingredients.
