Gap Farm: Old treasure worth a visit

THE place is not new. In fact it's one of the oldest resorts in Davao City, having been here for more than four decades already, as its welcome inscription says it's been established since 1973.

We revisited this resort on January 19 in time for my daughter's birthday. Although additional improvement is still undergoing as of the time we've visited it, the place doesn't fail to make my kids happy.

A number of benches and tables has already sprouted, a proof that the resort is readying itself to accommodate tourist influx.

As its name suggest, Gap Farming Resort still has its variety of local fruit trees like durian, pomelo, rambutan among others, perfect to educate your kids about tropical fruits.

Various animal statues can also be found there which are very good spot to take pictures with.

If your kids love to swim but taking them to the nearest beach resort will take much of your precious time and money, you can take them there as well, as it has three different-sized swimming pools. There is for your baby, for your toddler or for your Olympian-wannabe.

Much of our visit there was spent at their swimming pool, though as my youngest love the water that much.

If you plan to visit the place, make sure to bring with you an anti-mosquito lotion though.

Entrance fee is pegged at below P100 excluding the use of the pool.
