XIAN Lim left Star Magic.
The kapamilya actor signed a five-year management 10-picture exclusive contract for Viva Artists Agency (VAA) and Viva Films last January 23.
Showbiz people were stunned with Lim's decision. He's been an exclusive contract artist of Star Magic for almost nine years. However, the actor stressed that despite being a Viva artsit, he will remain a kapamilya.
How come Star Magic released him?
“Nag-usap naman kami nang maayos. Napakaliit ng mundo natin. It doesn’t mean I’m with Viva family, i-e-exclude nating lahat. Hindi naman po ganoon. We’re all still one big family working together," he said.
Now that he's with Viva artist is there a possibility of moving to GMA?
"Gusto ko lang sabihin na I really love ABS-CBN. ABS-CBN has always been my home," Lim said.
What will happen to KimXi (love team of Xian and Kim Chiu)?
"Definitely, nandoon pa rin naman yun. I’ve been always vocal about our tandem. Hindi siya matatapos. I mean, the KimXi tandem will always be there. I’m sure, there’s gonna be a project lined up para sa KimXi tandem. KimXi will always gonna be there. Hindi naman siya tinalikuran ng mga sumusuporta," he said.
Viva Films executives Vic "Boss Vic" del Rosario, Veronique del Rosario Corpus and June Torrejon-Rufino were present during Lim's contract signing.
Boss Vic mentioned that Sarah is doing the Philippine adaptation of Korean movie Miss Granny, which will be Lim's first movie for Viva.
Lim will be playing the role of a record producer which will eventually become Sarah's love interest.
"I was given an opportunity to work with Sarah and James [Reid] in their upcoming movie, and I was very excited. Kasi, even a couple of years back, kapag tinatanong ako, sino ang mga gusto mo makapareha, I mean, to be able to work with Sarah, it’s already a very huge blessing," he said.

It's been two years now since Julie Ann San Jose and Benjamin Alves has been dating. And until now, both has no confirmation on the real score of their relationship.
"Hindi naman po kami, e. Never… wala naman po kaming itinatago. Basta… kung ano po yung nakikita niyo sa amin."
Julie Ann has met the parents of Benjamin, how did she feel?
"Okay naman po. Noong una po, kinakabahan po ako. But nung magkakasama na po kami lahat, parang nawala po lahat, because everything was cool. And hopefully sana, magkaroon pa ulit kami ng chance na magkikita-kita po ulit, kasi nasa Guam po sila, e."
Julie Ann admits that she wants to collaborate with other artists, so, from GMA Records she moved to Universal Records.
“Gary Valenciano... I also want to collaborate with Ate Jona Viray. Si Gary po talaga, ‘yan yung mga ultimate."
She's also expecting to work with Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.
“Of course, hopefully, sana dumating po yung araw na yun. Hindi ko pa po siya nami-meet in person, gusto ko sana siya ma-meet. Hopefully po, sana po, sobrang idol.”

Newbie Matthias Rhoads is a nine-month old contract star of GMA-7. He's the leading man of Marian Rivera in the now defunct show "Super Ma'm.
Has he eyed any Kapuso actress?
"Walang ligaw, pero crush, there are so many! Ang daming magandang artista sa GMA."
Tulad nina?
"Sanya Lopez! Who else? So many pretty girls! Let me try to think... but a lot of them are taken! Lovi Poe is cute."
He has a lot of crushes but sad to say he stays focused on his work. Matthias loves kids, which was very evident during the last taping of "Super Ma'm."
“Well, everybody’s been a kid, right? And I believe that I’ve been fortunate enough to have a good, positive childhood. And I know that, you know, not everybody has the exact same experience, and it’s probably a big thing for them to see me. I mean, I don’t really think much of it ‘cause I’m just doing my job, you know, I wanna do a good job.”
How was it working with Marian? Has he learn something from the actress?
“It’s great! It’s always learning every time, and I think she sets a good example for all of us in the cast. We all look up to Ate Yan, she knows how it works, she shows us how to do it the right way. So, every time that she’s acting, I’m not so bothered… I watch her. Because she knows how to act and she knows how showbiz is done. When it comes to acting, I’m always ready to hear whatever suggestion… if she says, ‘Oh that’s good!’ Then it’s really good.”
Is it hard to have a pretty but married leading lady? Especially the husband is Dingdong dantes?
"Ha! I'm sure! I’m gonna assume yes, because if this person is single, wow, let’s, tara let’s! I’m single, right? So then it’s easier to get to a level with no… there’s no having to back off, no restrictions.”
He had sweet moments scenes with Marian in "Super Ma'm...
“It’s acting, I’m still acting, but maybe if there was a different person, who wasn’t married. Maybe it’s a different experience talaga, I’m assuming.”
Matthias's new year's resolution is to learn tagalog.
“It got better and then it got worse.”
Matthias is formerly based in New York. But instead of having his vacation there, he plans to go to Asian countries.
"Yeah! Maybe Vietnam. I've been to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, and China."
