WITH another record crowd in town for the grand Sinulog festival last weekend, Grab, a proud partner of the festival for two years in a row now, made sure that it stayed just as fun and colorful.
“More than just bringing Cebuanos from point A to point B, we want our passengers to get more value with every ride through fun and rewarding moments. Every ride taken with Grab earns passengers Grab Rewards points, which they can use to redeem exciting offers and freebies,” said Raenald de Jesus, Grab Philippines’ deputy country marketing head.
Festival essentials such as caps, shirts, tumblers, waterproof pouches and even some free beers were up for grabs at the special Grab Rewards redemption booth located at Plaza La Independencia using Grab Rewards points.
“We want to let the Cebuanos know that there’s so much more to a ride and that the fun can start even before getting to the destinations,” De Jesus said.
During the festival, Grab users enjoyed offers and discounts presented within the Grab Catalog section in the mobile. One such was the P100 discount offered by House of Lechon.
“Sinulog is just the tip of the iceberg. Expect more of local partners. House of Lechon is just one, and we’re currently working on different categories, both food and retail, to be able to have more localized offers for Cebuanos,” De Jesus said.
Grab users also enjoyed the special promo code “Sinulog” for an unlimited P50 off for their rides during the Sinulog festival last Jan. 16 to 21.
To cap the promo, a Grab Amazing Race Media Challenge also took place last Jan. 17. The winners, Scott Murphy, Jomie Hospital and Abing Hospital, won an all-expense-paid trip to Panagbenga Festival this year.
