P680-M BIR buildings ready for operations

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) announced that its new P680-million buildings are now ready for operations.

The project includes four buildings that will house 450 employees.

Jethro Sabariaga, BIR Revenue Region 4 director, said the Region 21A offices, once located in Angeles City, have already relocated to the new buildings.

He added that 21B and the regional office will formally move in the second week of February.

Sabariaga added that they are already doing measures to improve the ingress procedure inside the new compound to ease traffic. Sabariaga asked the public to bear with the BIR as it normalizes its processes in the new buildings.

The Pampanga provincial government earlier donated a P200-million one-hectare property to the BIR RR4 for the construction of its building.

He added that a bigger and better facility will enable the BIR to effectively and efficiently serve taxpayers.

Sabariaga also noted that the relocation of the BIR offices will greatly help in decongesting the Capitol compound area.

The new location will also provide for ample parking for vehicles and is along MacArthur Highway providing better convenience to commuting taxpayers. The location is also near the Regional Government Center in nearby Barangay Maimpis.

Sabariaga said the buildings are examples of green architecture initiatives.

The building is expected to set a new trend in the construction of government buildings in Pampanga. Sabariaga said the transfer to the new office is necessary to fully accommodate the BIR's need for more office spaces.

He added that a bigger and better building facility will enable the BIR to effectively and efficiently serve taxpayers. Sabariaga also noted that the relocation of the BIR offices will greatly help in decongesting the Capitol compound area.
