City Health Office to put up hearing care center

THE Davao City Health Office (CHO) has established within its office a hearing care center for the recipients of hearing aids from Starkey Foundation.

Doctor Josephine Villafuerte, CHO head, told reporters that the hearing care center is equipped with personnel to handle concerns of beneficiaries.

“We already have established a hearing care center in the health office, where those with hearing aid could come and have their hearing aids cleaned. If there is a problem with their hearing aids, they have somebody they can talk to,” she said.

She said in November 2017, a total of 2,340 recipients were able to receive hearing aids from Starkey, a United States based foundation in coordination with the Office of Davao City Councilor April Marie Dayap.

In a previous interview with Sun.Star Davao, Villafuerte said six plantilla personnel from CHO were trained by the Starkey Foundation for the aftercare program.
