12 drug dealers busted from January 1 to 29

EVEN BEFORE the Philippine National Police re-launched Oplan Tokhang this year, the Police Regional Office in the Cordillera and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency has already intensified its anti drugs operation with the arrest of 12 individuals from January 1 to 29.

The latest is the arrest of Roderick Afroilan, 24, a resident of Poblacion, Penarrubia who was collared for possession of two suspected sachets of shabu.

Another suspected drug trafficker was arrested January 28 in Barangay Sta. Rosa, Bangued, Abra.
Allan Luisito Santos, 25, tricycle driver was arrested after a concerned citizen reported to the police of an ongoing transaction of shabu at Barangay Dangdangla, Bangued.

The arrest resulted to the confiscation of a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and three rolled unused aluminum foil.

Ten others were arrested in different operations.

In Benguet, 300 fully grown marijuana plants were uprooted in a 100 square meter plantation Lower Bana, Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet on January 26.

The marijuana plants with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board value of P60,000 was burned on site.
