Technician, wife yield P275,000 worth of ‘shabu’

AN AUTOMOTIVE technician and his businesswoman wife were caught at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, in a drug bust on A. Lopez St. in Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

Reynaldo and Perla Abella yielded 12 packs of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” after they were arrested by the operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas.

The contraband weighed 55 grams with an estimated market value of P275,000.

The couple has been included in the watchlist of PDEA.

Suspects will be facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which sets no bail for persons caught in a drug bust. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
