FOURTEEN persons were arrested in separate anti-illegal drugs operations in Negros Occidental in the past three days.
In Silay City, Razel Panizales, 41, of Barangay 4 was collared on Wednesday after he yielded eight sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P12,000.
He is under the drugs watchlist and target list of Silay City Police Station.
Police also confiscated from him drug paraphernalia, P200 in cash, and the P100 marked money.
In Kabankalan City, Jerry Cornell Jr., 36, of Barangay Binicuil was arrested in a police checkpoint at Barangay 4 on Tuesday.
Police recovered from Cornell five sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the P550 cash.
In Victorias City, the city’s fourth top drug personality and two others were apprehended at Barangay 19-A at 6:30 p.m. Monday after police seized from them 12 sachets of shabu amounting to P50,000, drug paraphernalia, the P300 marked money, and P600 in cash.
Arrested were Sherwin Higino, 28, a top drug suspect; Cristine Diaz, 38; and Joel Villa, 45.
Higino was injured after he climbed a concrete wall with broken glass in an attempt to escape.
Over at La Carlota City, Jose Guardiario, 35, of Lopez Jaena Street, Bacolod City was arrested after he sold shabu to a police agent for P500 in a transaction held on Bucruz Street, Barangay II around 11:55 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police recovered from him three sachets of shabu, the P500 marked money, and P1,900 in cash.
In Bacolod City, Art Anthony Celiz, 24, of Purok Star Apple 2, Barangay 27 was arrested after the police raided his house at 6:20 p.m. last Monday.
Police confiscated from Celiz seven sachets of shabu worth P7,500. He is detained at Police Station 4.
Operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Occidental also conducted a drug bust at Villa Georgina Subdivision, Barangay Mandalagan Tuesday, with a recovery of P75,000 worth of drugs.
Seven persons were arrested in the operation who were also caught holding a “pot session.”
