New health officer, engineer named in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar has designated Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite as the officer in charge of the City Health Office.

Miravite has replaced Dr. Rodelin Agbulos who resigned from the government service effective on Wednesday, January 31.

At the same time, Engineer Christopher Navarro is elevated to full-fledged City Engineer from the previous post as OIC City Engineer.

In a memorandum order issued by Salazar dated January 31, it stated that Miravite’s designation takes effect February 1, same as the effectivity of Navarro’s appointment.

Prior to her designation, Miravite was the physician at the Reproductive Health and Wellness Center of the City Health Office.

Originally she was assigned with the Cristino Paragas Memorial Hospital in the village of Curuan as Medical Officer IV.

Navarro who was designated as OIC of the Office of the Building Official, replaces Engineer Luis Vicente Despalo who retired from the government service last June 21, 2017.

Navarro was an Engineer III and OIC of the Planning and Programming Division of the CEO prior to his appointment. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
