TRAILBLAZING the way to an improved education in the Philippines, the Coalition for Better Education (CBE) once again opens its doors for applications for the Medal of Excellence Awards given to 10 outstanding education students in Cebu.
Now on its 5th year, CBE’s Medal of Excellence Awards has been able to draw spotlight to deserving education program graduates who excelled not only inside the classroom but has extended influence and leadership to their direct communities and embodied the coalition’s mission of “Creating Empowered Learning Communities.”
Graduating pre-service teachers currently enrolled in higher education institutes in Metro Cebu and Cebu Province areas are eligible to apply for the award.
Application details are available at the College of Education Department offices.
The awardees will receive a certificate of recognition, a CBE gold medal, free one-year CBE membership training and development grants, free licensure examination (LET) review and tokens from CBE partners and certification or endorsements as may be needed to the Department of Education.
The coalition is grounded on the principle that in order to produce a better society, one must focus in producing good teachers who will be role models for the next generation.
CBE looks forward to meeting the new batch of awardees this year that will serve as inspiration to their schoolmates’ and fellow student-teachers.
Deadline of application for this year’s search will be on Feb. 24, 2018.
