Robbery raps filed vs laborer

A LABORER is facing charges before the court after he broke into an establishment along Magallanes Street in Davao City last month.

Charged with robbery with force upon things in an uninhabited place is Wilfredo Holsinda, a laborer at Metro Circle in Barangay 5-A, Davao City, and resident of the same barangay.

Prosecutor Serafica Justiniani–Weis found probable cause to charge the accused based on the complaint filed by the owner of the JME Supermart, James Michael Evangelio.

Evangelio, in his affidavit, attested that the accused entered his establishment by destroying the bolts, which secures the roof. The store was ransacked as all the stuff were scattered.

The complainant added that the steel cabinet with a vault worth P65,000 was destroyed, losing him P30,000 and an Armani wrist watch worth P15,000.

According to a witness, he saw the accused climb a tree leading to the roof of the establishment. He said he saw the accused the following day wearing a decent short pants and shirt, with an expensive phone.

The accused was arrested after it has been proven that he was the one who broke into JME Supermart.

Recovered from his possession was the Armani wrist watch of the complainant.

Holsinda is currently detained at the San Pedro Police Station while facing charges in court.
