Robbery suspect nabbed after hiding for more than a year

AN ALLEGED robber, who hid for more than a year, was caught on Saturday afternoon, February 3, by the police in Barangay Sirao, Cebu City.

Weldie Judilla Ponce, 33, was arrested by joint tracker teams of Liloan Police Station and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Central Visayas, led by chief inspectors Randy Korret and Chuck Barandog.

The police located the suspect after they were informed by a resident and a Barangay Intelligence Network.

Ponce is facing a robbery case before the sala of Danao City Regional Trial Court Branch 25 Judge Jerry Dicdican.

The bail was set at P24,000 for Ponce's temporary liberty.

Ponce was brought to Liloan Police Station for detention. (KAL)
