San Fernando celebrates village’s 15th founding anniversary

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The northern village of Pulung Bulu in this city over the weekend marked its 15th founding anniversary.

Mayor Edwin Santiago, together with Councilor BJ Lagman, Kaganapan 2018 Chairperson Jun Pineda and Pulung Bulu Barangay Chairman Ernesto Carreon, Jr. led a simple celebration where various health and social services of the city government were offered to residents there.

Santiago also spearheaded the unveiling of the list of recently accomplished projects in the village such as the improvement of roads and the construction of lined canals.

Meanwhile, Certificates of Recognition were also awarded to lawyer Raul Macalino for being one of the authors of Pulung Bulu’s Barangayhood, and to the former barangay officials with ad interim appointments from 1990 to 2003.

The celebration is one of the highlights of the ongoing 17th Cityhood Charter Anniversary celebration of San Fernando this February.
